38th Annual Lotus Festival

The Lotusflower issignificant to the Asian cultures as a symbol of rebirth, purity and life. The event is held in July when the Lotus plant blooms. Echo Park Lake was selected as the site for the event due to its central location of local Asian and PacificIslander communities and because it hosts the largest lotus bed in the United States. The festival includes food, live music, ethnic dances, and a variety of performers representing the people and culture of Asian and the Pacific Islands.
