this is a FREE EVENT to PROMOTE and to LISTEN to live music performers of all ages and genres.

bring your instrument and plug directly in to the onstage monitor.  it feeds to a powered speaker that i use as the PA. (i can also extend this to over PA speakers in the house.)  2 mics connected to a vocal effects unit and mic stands. i can also provide an 8 channel mixer, but it's not really needed.

note to keyboard players:  if you request beforehand, i can also bring a 49 keyboard controller that hooks up via a GSM instrument device with 127 switcheable instrument tones on its 49 keys and 12 pads.  it does not need a computer to operate it.

LIMITED to acoustic or low volume electric instruments, thru the PA or small amps.
NO drumkits  NO big amps - sorry, too loud for the open mic program and too much setup time
NO non-music acts - if you're a comedian, a magician, or a poet, or an etc - perform it to music (you could ask attending musicians to accompany you)

performers can usually set up off to the right side of the stage area
performances may be projected by USB camera & LED projector to a big screen.

DETAILS  usually 3 songs or more !
begins 230pm - ends 530pm
can end with a 30 minute jam session inviting all performers onstage (signup on the list) why the jam? - this is to encourage performers to play together and share time onstage in an unplanned, unscripted session - open, free form, improvised jam.  1 performer usually starts and ends each song and directs the jam by pointing to each performer for their solo.

The Brewyard Beer Company has great reviews and buzz, located near the border of Glendale and Burbank.
spacious bar lounge within its brewery.  A decorative graffiti wall onstage, free street parking and some lot parking
there is plenty of seating, tables and standing room at the Brewyard, i estimate for at least 150 people. there may be a food truck parked directly outside, and food items are allowed to be brought in.
